Passeig de Gracia, 83. Located directly across from Gaudi's La Pedrera, Suites Avenue is not a full service hotel, but a upscale apartment-hotel. No restaurant, but plenty in the vicinity. Modern and stylish rooms with fantastic views.

Carrer Elisabets 11. Hip hotel in the Raval area brought to you by the famous shoe company. Although I have not seen the rooms here, the reports are very favorable. Great location near the Boqueria Market and Liceu Opera House.

Passeig de Gracia, 132. Set in a grand, Catalan modernist-style building on Plaça de Nicolas Salmeron square, Casa Fuster was built in 1911 as a gift for Mariono Fuster's wife. It was converted into a luxury hotel in 2004. One of my favorite buildings in the city. You can find live jazz in the bar on Thursday nights.
